7.Translate the following dialogue into English。

(将下列的对话翻译成英语)

动词时态为一般过去时。

警察:先生,你看到那个事故了吗?

Policeman: Did you see the accident, sir?

男子:是的,我看到了。那辆车的司机撞到那边的杆子上来了。

Man: Yes, I did. The drive of that car hit post over there.

警察:发生了什么事?

Policeman: What happened?

男子:一条狗穿过马路,那位司机企图躲开狗。突然,汽车朝我开过来。它走向人行道,撞到那个杆子上。

Man: A dog ran across the road and the driver tried to avoid it. The car suddenly came towards me. It climbed on to the pavement and crashed into that post.

警察:你做了什么?

Policeman: What did you do?

男子:我穿过马路去追狗。

Man: I ran across the street after the dog.

警察:你为什么这样做呢?你怕汽车吗?

Policeman: Why did you do that? Were you afraid of the car?

男子:我不怕汽车,我怕那个司机。他下了车,开始朝我喊了起来。他对我很生气。你知道的,那是我的狗。

Man: I wasn’t afraid of the car. I was afraid of the driver. The driver got out of the car and began shouting at me. He was very angry with me. You see, it was my dog.

hit v 打,打击,碰撞

post n 邮政,邮寄,杆,柱,桩,标杆

crash v 碰撞

avoid v 避免,回避,躲开

towards prep 向,朝,对于

climb v 登,爬

pavement n 铺过的道路,人行道

shout v 呼喊,喊叫

8.Special difficulties 难点

英语中有些动词可以带两个宾语,一个直接宾语,一个间接宾语。

如果间接宾语在直接宾语的后面,则间接宾语前必须加to(表示动作对什么人而做)或for(表示动作为什么人而做)。

例如:

He lent me a book.

还可以说:He lent a book to me.

He sent me a card.

还可以说:He sent a card to me.

He passed me the salt.

还可以说:He passed the salt to me.

She bought me a tie.

还可以说:She bought a tie for me.

She made me a cake.

还可以说:She made a cake for me.

大多数情况下,间接宾语置于直接宾语之前。
